Tips and tricks

Various tips and tricks that can be used across the whole app for easier navigation

If it looks like a button, it is a button

Just about anything circular in the entire app really is a clickable button! For example, did you know that all of the source icons in Lists and elsewhere are actually buttons that can provide you more details on how to get the item? Or that the job icons for crafted materials allow you to attach a rotation to an item? Try them out! Here's a little look at some of their functions.

Hover over most elements for tooltips or descriptions

Hovering over any item's icon will provide a tooltip with lots of the information for the item, such as its sources, the recipe to make it, the best bait for a fish, et cetera!

Hovering over an action in the Crafting Simulator will show you a tooltip for it with its description, just like it would in the game.

In fact, hovering over just about anything, including any buttons you don't know the function of, will likely provide you with more information, including a hint at what happens when you click something! You can even use this to check on the status of packet capture, and force it to try and start again if it failed to start, at the click of a button.

Drag and Drop

Almost everything that can be ordered or added to a folder can be done using drag and drop; you can use it to put lists inside workshops, to put rotations inside folders, to reorder lists and rotations, to reorder layout panels inside the layout editor.

To add elements to folders or workshops, you can also use the "+" button, which will open a selection dialog box that will let you select the elements you want to add to the folder/workshop.

Sharing

Multiple elements and pages have this small icon available as a button; clicking on it will copy a share link to the element where the button is placed. On the desktop app, this includes the share icon in the sidebar, which will copy a link to the web version of the page you are currently browsing that you may then share!
