Commission board
Reverse marketboard for everyone!
What is it?
The commission board system is a feature that gives users the ability to create commissions so they can find crafters or gatherers to help them complete lists. It provides a rating system, advanced feedback and notifications.
How does it work?
As a client
As a client, you have to create a commission, which is possible from several pages:
From the list details page, click the shop icon to create a commission for this list.
From a gearset details page, click the shop icon to generate a list and a commission for this gearset, doesn't include materia.
From the commissions page, click the + file icon to create a new commission and a list linked to it, then you can add items to the list linked to the commission.
Adding items to a commission
Once a commission has been created, you can add items to it using two different ways:
By adding items to the list linked to the commission, which can be opened using the "Open list" button on the commission.
By clicking the "Add items" button inside the commission details page, this button will be highlighted if the commission contains no items.
When creating a commission, you can specify its tags (to make it easier to find), the price you're willing to pay (can be 0 and contractors can make their own offer), a flag to tell if you only need crafting done (if you already have all materials) and a way to contact you, which will only be shown to the contractor you hired.
Once your commission is created, contractors will be able to apply to it, giving their offer. You'll be able to see their name, ratings, their offer and how to contact them. Hire the contractor you want, and it'll start the commission with them. Once a contractor has been hired, the lifecycle begins.
As a contractor (crafter/gatherer)
As a contractor, you can simply go to the commission board and make your search to find the commissions you want to work on.
Once you found a commission you want to work on, make an offer by clicking the "Apply" button and provide a way to contact you for the client, this will only be shown to them. Your offer is also only shown to the client, other contractors will only know that an offer has been made.
If the client hires you, you'll get a notification, and the commission will be added to your commissions. The list associated with the commission is also now linked to you, and you can start your work.
The commission lifecycle
Once the contractor has been hired, they can start to work on the commission, which will be updated as the contractor works, the progression bar will be filled as the job gets done on the list. The list is also only editable by the contractor unless they give permission to participate to other users.
After the list has been completed, delivered, and the payment is completed, the client can mark the commission as completed and rate the contractor with a comment if they want to. The contractor can also rate the client by opening the commission details (can be found in your commission archive page) and clicking the rate button.
Firing the contractor
If, as a client, for any reason, you need to remove the contractor from the commission, you can do it by clicking the red "Fire" button and providing a reason for it, that will be shown on the contractor's profile.
Please do not abuse the fire feature, actions will be taken against you if you abuse it, make sure only to fire the contractor when it's needed.
Resigning from a commission
If, as a contractor, you need to resign from a commission for any reason, you can do it by clicking the resign button and providing a reason. The date, commission id and reason will be logged in your commission profile.
Please do not abuse the resign feature, actions will be taken against you if you abuse it, make sure only to resign when necessary.
